Geetha Narayanan - Founder Director
Geetha is an educator with over four decades of experience as a teacher, an educator, a curriculum and instruction designer. At all times a catalyst Dr. Narayanan has tried over the years to evolve paradigms of learning that integrate the mind, body and consciousness and in the last few years has worked at creating collaborative pedagogical frameworks for the teaching of mathematics, science and languages within the Indian educational system at the informal and formal levels of schooling.
Dr Narayanan is currently Founder Director of Srishti Institute of Art Design & Technology; Principal Investigator of Project Vision, a Director’s Fellow at the Media Lab, MIT, USA and a visiting faculty at the Future of Learning Institute at Harvard Graduate School of Education USA.
Meena Vari - Dean of School of Media, Arts and Sciences.
Meena Vari has been working in the arts since 1996. She is a Chevening-Clore Fellow for the Clore - Creative Leadership in the Arts and a Fulbright Scholar for Arts Management. She has a Masters Degree in Political Science and Education from New Delhi. Meena is interested in curatorial practice as a form of enquiry, experience, cognition and knowledge making. Since 2002, she has been curating, organizing and producing the annually held Srishti-Interim featuring contemporary artistic projects led by artists from all over the world. Srishti-Interim is an annual showcase of contemporary art projects created, produced and presented during the interim semester every year as part of the curriculum. She is also a Program Consultant for Kochi Biennale Foundation, Kerala. Meena is the Dean of the School of Media, Arts and Sciences, Dean of Contemporary Arts and Curatorial Practice and coordinator for the Center for Experimental Media Arts (CEMA).

Michael Joseph - Head of Srishti C4 Centre, Thiruvananthapuram
Michael Joseph is an alumnus from the Film & Television Institute of India, Pune specializing in Film Direction. He heads the Srishti Centre – C4 at Thiruvananthapuram, which is housed at the KINFRA Film and Video Park. He is also the Dean for the Srishti Technical Program. He started working with Srishti in the early 2000’s when he initiated the Film Course for the Undergraduate Professional Program and coordinated it for many years as Head, Department of Independent Media.
He has worked as an Academic Consultant to the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune to reformulate and re-vision the curriculum for both the Film and Television wings. As the Lead, Digital Narratives at Quest Alliance, he designed learning environments for training youth facilitators and also developed media artifacts, which were embedded into these habitats.
Earlier, Michael Joseph worked extensively in the field of medical education with special emphasis on the psychosocial aspects of Hansen’s Disease. It was here that he began his experiments with using small format video in a participatory approach with health workers and school children.
As a freelance filmmaker, Michael has made product, training, corporate, advertisement and documentary films. Currently, he is working on a feature length documentary on Indian Jazz musicians tentatively titled “Blue N Boogie” on the themes of identity, belonging and home.
Kumkum Nadig - Dean of School of Design, Business and Technology.
Kumkum is Dean of Technical Education. She is responsible for curriculum planning and design for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Diploma Programs in Visual Communication Design. Kumkum is also part of the team to plan and set up Srishti’s off-site Technical Diploma Program. In the past 11 years, Kumkum has not only set up the Department of Communication Design, but has also taught courses, workshops and projects across different departments and years of studies at Srishti. Kumkum brings with her 30 years of work experience as a Graphic Designer and 16 years as an educator. Her practice and teaching is informed by her multi-faceted education in Architecture, Industrial Design and Graphic Design.
Kumkum’s interests in engaging with the urban landscape through the lenses of art, culture and communication have guided many projects, assignments and workshops at Srishti and at other national and international events.
Dr. Girish Prabhu - Dean of School of Design, Business and Technology.
Dr. Girish Prabhu holds the position of Dean of School of Design, Business & Technology. Girish has 25 years of experience in user, business, design innovation, new product & business development, and product internationalization & localisation. Girish has published referred papers in international journals, holds 16 U.S. patents and is an invited speaker at both national and international conferences. He is a member of PDMA, ISPIM and ACM-SIGCHI. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering (Human Factors) from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Engineering, Mysore. He is interested in innovating for emerging markets and product & service localisation. Girish also is the Director of Srishti Labs, a centre for Human Centered Innovation and Experience Design. Prior to this assignment, he has held various management positions in new business development, re-search, and product commercialization at Eastman Kodak, HP,and Intel and was instrumental in implementing user-centered design and innovation processes in multiple product areas.
